Ever dreamed of being marooned on your very own desert island? Or you just want to look at the pics and fantasise? Then read on, wannabe castaways…
10Constance Tsarabanjina, Madagascar
This is “Robinson Crusoe Lite”. If you want to dip your toe in the water without any accompanying discomfort this is the one for you. This is the only island on our list where you will have to share the island with other holiday-makers; there are 10 beautiful beach bungalows spread across it’s North and South shores. It has everything you expect from a desert island but with the benefit of all life’s luxuries. Don’t expect TVs and telephones though; peace, quiet and relaxation are the order of the day. It is an all inclusive resort so you won’t have to lift a finger, or your purse, the whole time you’re there.
Alternatives to Shipwreck You’re looking at about £700 return to fly to Madagascar from London on Skyscanner. Then around another £350.00 return to get you to the island. The best option is to speak to the resort to arrange your transfers.
Robinson Crusoe Rating Just the 1 Coconut. It looks the part but barefoot luxury isn’t the point!
